This movie is a painfull experience if you have even the slightest appreciation for good film-making. Even if the story had something to say(it doens't, it's simplistic and shallow), the unbelievably low quality directing, cinematography,editing,dialogue(?) and acting(?) are too distracting and laugh-inducing.

shareI love Tarkovsky, Bergman, Bunuel, Kurosawa, Rohmer, Chabrol, Varda, Kieslowski, Lynch, PT Anderson, Kubrick, Malick, Von Trier, and Hitchcock, but I also loved this film.

shareThis film is a breath of fresh air in a world of big-budget garbage. The late writer, Jerome Bixby, was a unique talent who came from the golden age of screenwriting. I hope they teach his work in film school.
