Could there be people on earth that have lived lifetimes worth?

Could there be people on earth that have lived multiple lifetime's worth, but we just don't know. I think it's possible.

Good show, alas, no evidence.

The biologist began to discuss how this would be possible but basically the answer is no. I mean, essential facts about metabolic processes render it impossible. Besides that, the fact the dude seemed so frightened by the gun pointed at him? If he couldn't take a gunshot but could handle BUBONIC PLAGUE? Makes 0 sense.

reply

If you were shot and survived, would that mean you wouldn't be afraid of being stabbed?

I know I could survive a bee sting, but I'd still be scared of being stung.

And maybe that wasn't what he was so scared of anyway. He was probably more concerned about the wider repercussions of what would happen if he was shot. The trauma the people in the room would feel, the police investigation, the fact that they'd find out he did perfectly heal from the gunshot wound and his secret would be out etc.

you're an idiot, people have survived bubonic plague. many many many! there have been modern out breaks, it's stopped with simple antibiotics.

For someone who is calling someone else an idiot, it sure seems to be only you who missed the gist of what abnormally and brandon were talking about.

I wasn't replying to brandon-lamaro so i'm not sure why you brought that up. As far as what abnormally said, he said it's biologically impossible. But what if the man from earth bas a biology we know nothing about. Saying something is impossible when you have no clue how it works really doesn't need rebuttle.

With the practical importance this movie touched upon of such a person maintaining a low profile for overall self-preservation of life, liberty, sanity, etc, if there are it's very doubtful anyone would ever know about it.

100% homo sapien - I don't think so. Hybrids of some sort, though - or undiscovered creatures that aren't what we'd call people - yes I think that's possible.

Definitely possible. It would be ludicrous to state that it's definitively impossible. Of course anyone like that would remain in the shadows like John did and wouldn't reveal themselves to the public, so you'd never know unless you actively tried to find them and spent a lot of time/energy/money doing so.

Well it's practically impossible for this to come out of evolution, simply because the immortal being would stop being able to change and adapt to it's environment. For humans it's a different stories because of tools and intelligence, but for animals it's basically impossible because it's kind of bad to not evolve.

From a scientific perspective it's perfectly possible, but it would not be a naturally occurring change in humans.

Movies aren't real life.
