shareJohn spends his long lifetime changing his identity every 10 years or so...so if his wife from say 1955 found a photograph of her husband from about 30 years before his cover would be blown.
Also he has not tried to convince people (except the guy from 1700's) before...if he was going through all these "mini-lifetimes" trying to convince people a photograph would be handy (from it's invention circa 1840)...but he wasn't.
No riddle...no solution.

I'd have to agree with what he said. If one of my friends told me he was immortal and then pulled out some old pictures of him posing throughout the past hundred years or so, I'd immediately think "lol, nice photoshop" and it would do absolutely nothing to corroborate the story.
sharePulling out a book he'd written with an author photo from 50+ years ago that looks the same as today might be fairly convincing, though.
