It's been on for 3 minutes, awful acting

Obviously I'm not going to stop. But if it wasn't for imdb giving it a good score I would have turned this off almost immediately. Looks and feels like a school project film!

Also one of the guys (pork pie hat) is super annoying.

Hang on who is this Linda? Helloooooo

Just finished it. Not for me this film. I actually thought it was terrible. And actually laughed out loud when the guy had a heart attack and died!

If you like this film then that's great, I normally love dialogue heavy films where they can be plays but I can't think of a single thing about this film I liked.

It's almost like the Room, isn't it? You watch it and the whole time you think, 'can multiple people have actually made this and thought it was good?" Like, a whole crew of people worked on this....and it's still this bad.

reply

I agree its not one of those high budget films, and very different. Just some people chatting in a room. However I loved it. yes acting wasnt amazing, but it was different and the plot was cool. Very inventive. One for the ages

reply

One for the ages indeed...considering this steamer instantly aged 20 years from the moment the final shot was taken to its direct-to-video release, I can only imagine what it will look like another age from now.

I agree comedyfish, I was lured into watching this movie by the IMDB rating and was burned. I've been burned by this site before but this was the worst, by far. The movie filmed like a bad play, one set, very talky, very slow, wooden acting. Everything John Oldman claimed was cliche to the point of being laughable. "I was crucified and mankind turned me into Jesus" was just a cheap shot. Oh, and let's throw in Oldman being Dr. Will Gruber's father at the end. While watching this film I spent most of my time rolling my eyes and shaking my head. Just plain bad...

3/10

jcarpenter-1, you're being too generous to this film. Forget the cliches and being talky, the dialogue was just laughable. It's like the writer jotted down a bunch of points he wanted to get across on a sheet of paper and then when it came time to writing the screenplay, he just wrote dialogue around it.'

And that music!

reply

The "WORST" by far, NOT the worse by far.

reply

I laughed right before that when he yelled out "I REJECT THIS."

Oh and when the old lady kept saying " YOU'RE NOT JESUS!!"

?? hilarious.

Maybe you should stick to comedies.

Let me quote a transcript fragment with the first Art and Linda appearance:
"So, can I get an "a" for awesome?
Oh, my gosh.
( Chuckles )
That was fun.
Hey, John.
You know Linda. You had her last semester.
Hi. Hey.
She's one of my victims now. I'm taking her home.
She wanted to come by and say hello goodbye.
Is Art as tough as I hear?
Oh, archaeology's tough.
Dr. Jenkins is a fine teacher."

So you don't know who Linda is after all that.. you seriously can't expect anyone to treat your opinion about the film seriously.
