Q: Filming herself across the street? (Spoiler)

I just watched it. Overall an exciting piece (considered no famous people and not a big budget); but I have a problem getting my head around somthing:

Here goes:
The antagonist (Rebecca, the secretary) staged the whole stalker / murder thing right? Well staged, she thought up the whole thing. Clearly it's her filming him. Because (well I think) every time the "cop Soll" (the waiter guy) comes by he shows himself at some point during the scene.
I think the Thurber guy (the actor) never even entered the apartement. So he wouldn't have been snooping around the place. Not really.
Which leaves the sexy neighbour Audrey, who was not an actor, or a stalking murdere, clearly, she was just being sexy. AND she got killed.

So I guess the person filming our protagonist David in the middle of the night must be our little stalker Rebecca. But as our hero rewinds the tape of himself being filmed, he sees a clue hidden. The clue shows him and us a person standing across the street looking or whatever. He goes over the there and we know the rest.

the question at hand is: how could she be at 2 places at the same time?

The cheapo answer would be: she carved a billboard of herself and stood it against the tripod or whatever...

Am I missing something, or is it a GOOF?

I found it pretty interesting as well. I think Rebecca just took the easy way out and made a simple cardboard silhouette to stick in the window while doing the filming to give David a clue on what was going on.

Also to remove her as a possible suspect. When he sees someone across the street, investigates, and finds out its her, he "knows" she isn't the one in his place. She's just the harmless stalker that loves him and watches him from afar, not the malicious stalker that taunts him and breaks into his home.

Even though it leads him to find out she's stalking him, it leads him in the wrong direction to make him think her stalking is purely harmless and she's just shy and in love with him, so he confides in her.
