Feature of the Short in the works

For those who have inquired - the feature script has just been completed so a longer version (2 hours) is in the works to begin financing. We've also exposed two new secrets surrounding the characters that show how all of our choices are directly connected.

That's great news! I loved the short film and thought it would make a good feature film. I hope you can sign the same actresses for the feature. Best of luck with the financing.

Best of luck with the financing and getting the same cast signed (especially Annabeth Gish!!!).
I loved this "little" film," and can't wait to find out about more secrets.
I'm looking forward to receiving the DVD, which I recently ordered.
PS. Tina, I think it's terrific that you're taking the time to respond to these questions/comments. Many thanks!

Can I ask where you ordered the DVD from? I have been looking for it forever! Unfortunately during this time I was applying for disability and had no money! Really do not have much now, but would really love to see this short before the feature comes out! So, I was wondering where you are getting your DVD from? I was going to head over to Wolfe (I have a gift card there) Video to see if they had it! But thought I would also ask you!

Thanks ahead of time, I appreciate anything you can tell me!

That's excellent news. I just hope you can get the same cast. I don't think it would be the same without that great chemistry.

It's 'would have', not 'would of'.

there is some news - the feature script caught the eye of a line producer who's currently working up a budget to give us an idea of the cost it can realistically be shot for - without padding the bottom line with ridiculous numbers.

if we can keep the budget in line, then it's more attractive to a co-production or investor because the realities of them making their investment back, plus some, is greater.

although i'm working on other projects, i'm not giving up on this one because everyone in the industry who has read it says it's a film that should be made, especially in this day and age and after this final draft of the script - i humbly agree ;-)

so fingers crossed and send us positive thoughts.

Glad to hear that you haven't forgotten about it. So often directors will say they're writing a sequel to something you love and then they just get tied up in something else and don't bother. Great to hear that you're still trying to get his made.
I think you're right, in this day and age it is a movie that should be seen and I think it would be well received by the LGBT Film Festivals especially.
Is Annabeth still in line to take the lead again or are you thinking or re-casting the lead?
I'd love to see her take the part. She was great in the original short movie.

Good luck with everything.

Thank you for your positive energy and belief in the film. It is encouraging when things look slow or bleak to know others care about it like we do.

And you're right, I (as writer) didn't forget the feature version. With the information I gleamed from finishing the short and experiencing film festival audience reactions, I jumped right into rewriting and finishing the full script.

It's complete and ready to go, now we're just about finding the financing.

And, just between us ;-), we'd still be considering Ms. Gish for the lead, she played it perfectly and brought a lot to the character that wasn't on paper.

A true artistic professional.

Plus the little fact that she's stunning as well as an amazing actress, lol.
Can't wait to see if it gets the green lights. Hope you'll keep us up to date.
I think you have a lot of fans of the short that will be waiting for this movie. Hope you achieve your dream of getting it made.
Good luck! :-)

Hi. I just wanted to drop by here to let you know I just saw "In Twilight's Shadow" tonight on Logo's The Click List. I loved it, too, just like Gillery. I really, really hope to see both as feature length films some day.

As soon as I saw the Liquid Filmworks logo, I knew the short was going to be one directed by you.

Thanks for another great short film. Puhleez, I want more, more, more!! :-)

thanks for this encouragement.

as it stands now, the feature version has been put on the back burner where i hope to keep it simmering until i can find either a someone or a production company - here in the US or abroad - who isn't afraid of the gay content and welcomes the fresh and engaging storyline that we have developed.

the feature script has been so well received by agencies, talent, etc. but the alternative lifestyle is what holds people back.

its time will come to be filmed, and as long as i can keep putting it out there, i know that one day - soon - i will find that benefactor who wants to see it filmed as much as the rest of us.

i promise to keep everyone updated and i promise not to stop trying to make this feature.

Best of luck, I see you haven't posted in a while! Hope things are still looking up! I sort of missed 2006 (along with 2004 & 2005!) I was applying for disability and it took 30 months! So, I'm trying to catch up on what I miss I keep hearing about "Gilery's Little Secret" and I LOVE Annabeth Gish in everything she has done . . . I just wanted to say, I hope things are still going forward with it! Sounds fabulous and I can't wait to see it. If I can figure out LOGO lovely media player one day! I swear computers are going to bite me in the butt one of these days! LOL (And I build them for fun--Well, really just to keep somewhat updated and do it cheaply or cheapest . . . But I hate when they don't work and all I can blame is . . . Bill Gates, yeah that's who I can blame! LOL Just kidding . . . )

Love what I've seen and want to see more! I guess that is good! Best of luck to you! REALLY!

To answer my own question (and if anyone else has that question!) I ordered the film from the web site liquidfilworks.com and go to "Gilery's Little Secret" and there you can order the DVD! I paid through PayPal and it was under $14 total and it came today . . . In less than a week! So, I finally own my own copy and get to see the film! YIPEEEEE! I know the importance of supporting artists (I am trying to become a jewelry designer, only because I could never find the kind of jewelry I wanted to wear! LOL Plus I have to keep myself from going insane!) But to support the ones in community especially if I want to see more films like this one!

Thanks! ;-) Can't wait to watch it! ;-)

Dear Tina,

Just like all the others i've loved GLS ever since i first saw it. I'm really glad to hear you would like to make it a feature film. I, for one, hope it will happen real soon. Which is why i hope (if you haven't yet) you'll consider crowdfunding. I know the lesbian community has a soft spot for Annabeth Gish.

I think you'll be able to raise quite a bit of money and hopefully that will attracked other investors!

Best of luck to you on all your other project!
