Stupid movie

I feel this was a horrible film. It was very similar to the children Korean trash movie Gakseoltang, but I'd argue that one was worse.

Too much zooming into the girl's face, and her lack of contemplation really bothered me. Laughing at the fox hitting another animal? Locking the fox in your room and having him jump out to get hurt? Trying to play house with the fox?

Also, I find it weird the movie totally dropped its mention that people were hunting foxes to minimize their population due to damaging crops. I mean, I thought the little girl would do something like risk her life to help the fox or something, as Heidi does with a goat in Heidi, Girl of the Alps (note, World Masterpiece Theatre version rules). It felt too anthropocentric to me.

She even had a dog. Why the hell would you obsess about a fox when you already have a beautiful dog? As another thread mentioned, she was definitely autistic.

I eventually came to detest the girl's insipid face, genuine dullness, stupidity, and the constant zoom-ins. I agree with the overall message of the film, that there is a distinction between love and possessiveness, but this movie was too much of a slog to sit through. There are far better children idyllic movies/animation like World of Peter Rabbit and Friends, Dolphin Tale, Thunder and the House of Magic, and the Mongolian movie Cave of the Yellow Dog. I highly recommend Cave of the Yellow Dog.
