Need some help

I actually responded to you about this on Peter Facinelli's board, but thought I'd write a little more here.

This hasn't been released yet, and is still on the festival circuit (I saw it at a fest in Ohio). I'm not sure what the delay on it getting an actual release is, but would guess it's because distributors aren't sure how to market it. Like many other great movies, you can't slap a cute little label like NOTTING HILL meets RUSH HOUR on it, and that probably scares them. It's not a formulaic imitation of anything else. If anything, it's a bit of a throwback to edgy stuff from the 70s. It has got a lot of style, but not at the expense of the story. It's in-your-face and gritty, but never for cheap shock value. It has unexpected heart, and a revelatory performance from Facinelli. It's the kind of flick I can see earning a serious following on DVD, like Boondock Saints or Donnie Darko did, if only someone would have the balls to to get it out there. I hope you get to see it soon, and I can't wait to see it again...
