How did they have Madonna pass behind the Gorillaz Bass Guitar Player... I originally thought that they were simply on a screen but then how did Madonna walk behind the guy and still be seen? Were they hard light projections or something? Life-sized Holograms? ANyone know? thanks

shareThe entire Madonna opening with The Gorillaz was taped. Her body was on the same projection screen as the Gorillaz, so it was very easy for them to animate the stunt. Watch the clip again. Notice when she leaves the stage, everything goes dark, then when she reappears, the crowd goes NUTS (because now the real Madonna is on stage.) She also has on a new outfit, and her vocals sound much better, as she is now live instead of recorded.
