Confirmed 'Saved' Canceled...

Just search it on google "tnt saved season two". Any number of the first several hits, all from differing sources, read the same grim news. TNT has dropped "Saved" after only one season. Most articles agree that "Saved" managed to bolster a lot of good reviews and decent ratings, but paled when compared to "The Closer". So it was an uphill battle from the start. Now add the fact that TNT is adding to new series, "Grace" (something about a burnt out cop...basically a cop verison of "Saved"...which is a stupid exchange) and "Heartland" (about a heart transplant surgeon whose work is "affecting his personal life"...again sounds like something they just canceled, doesn't it?), and our much beloved "Saved" goes right out the window.

I am EMT-B working in Iowa and I have to say I'm very addicted to this show. I've never been more sad to see a series get canceled. We can all pray for it to be picked up by another network, but the ratings were not outstanding so I wouldn't count on it. But remember, Fox canceled "Firefly" and the DVD sales rocketed it out of television and into the box office as a feature film. Now I'm not saying there should be a movie, but I am saying we should never give up hope.

So once again, just google it. You'll find the depressing evidence. "Saved" is canceled folks. I mourn with all of you. However, by every indication the first season should still come out on DVD, so hurray for that.

Remember, it's the fall that will kill you, it's the ground.

Stupid network should've wrapped up storylines instead of ending with a massive cliffhanger! My favorite shows always seem to do that.

I always wait til a shows been on for a while so that it doesn't get cancelled but this time i thought "Hmmm it's cool, it's on right after The Closer theres no way this will get canceled!" So I watched every episode new which I never do. I don't want to get my heart broken when *beep* cancel a show I'm just getting into. They had the chiffhanger from hell. I wouldn't be as annoyed with this but then they have a new show that is bacicly the same thing so the chances are slim that this will come back. I kinda wish they would continue this show on dvd or something at least have an hour long ending.

I'm a sucker for procedurals but I wouldn't say The Closer is anywhere near as good as Saved. This is indeed a damn shame. I guess we could hope for some other channel to pick the show up...

I have to agree with all the above except that I think "The Closer" rocks very hard and I would have to choose it from the two. *But*. That's why they had run these the way they did- 'Closer' was supposed to hook viewers and introduce them to 'Saved.' I guess it just didn't work out. Too sad.
In a wierd kind of way I'm new to watching tv, and I'm trying to get used to losing shows I enjoy. The first season I was "back in the game," so to speak, I loved, and lost "In Justice" and especially, "Conviction." I suppose I'll get used to potentially great shows going down the tubes without a chance to blossom. Sigh. At least they're keeping S60otSS.... that is another of my new favorites.

yes its cancelled season 2 is only gonna be aired overseas like the united kingdom or australia but never fails always cancel the good shows and leave the junk on that was the only show i watched on tnt and it will be the last show ive watched on it

You've got that right! I was a serious Firefly fan, too. Alot of the shows I like get canceled.

I can't believe it! After all of the commercials that were like, 'thanks for making it such a big hit!' and crap like that. I was 100% addicted to that show! My plan is to go into the medical field so I am a total sucker for these shows. If it got cancelled, why does IMDB say that 2.1 was supposed to air on March 5? Grrr, thats dumb. I'm gonna cry if they don't at least put season 1 on dvd. Or make it available in some way shape or form. Oh well...

OMG i'm gonna cry...i had heard mumblings about it getting canceled but i didn't want to believe it. THAT CLIFF HANGER OMG....at least make one more episode to wrap it up best you can jesus christ

I agree... TNT is starting to have a lot of things in common with CBS; both know how to cancel really good shows...

Well I really really liked this show and true it is so disappointing after such a huge cliff hanger finale! I also really like Closer, but this show was also great....I agree with many of you, this always seems to happen to my shows....It doesn't seem right anymore unless ratings are amazing, no show is given a chance even on a small network. Makes one not even want to try watching, why should we, it will just be cancelled. I think I will get a life instead ha ha! :-)

I'm a huge fan of the closer so I'm glad that's ok but I really wanted this show to survive too. Shame!

Really wish they wouldn't have cancled... keep thinking maybe TNT might stumble across all the fans that want it back and might put it back on the air. But, i wanted that to happen with firefly.. and well.. that never happened. Maybe if we're lucky they'll finsh up the ending in a movie. Who knows.

The Closer is great. I love that show. But I love this one too and was so happy it WASN'T another cop show. So now we get Grace and Heartland...which is another cop and doctor show. I liked the EMT point of view. It's sad.

Awesome series... I just found out tonight- late I know- about it not coming back. Sucks. Go dvd at least. And you say you're a paramedic- thank you for what you do. Every time I see an ambulance I say a prayer for the paramedics, patient, their families, etc. I always have. Then last summer- 1 month after Saved premiered- I was riding in that ambulance with my mom who'd had a stroke. She's doing great, so again thank you. And NO THANKS to TNT for the cancelation.
