I have only recently discovered (and fell in love with) Tom Everett Scott as an actor. I totally missed the show "Saved" but am glad to hear it will be returning for another season.
I was wanting to know if anyone knew whether or not the first season will be available on DVD at any point. I would really love to see the show!!!!!

I too am looking to find out if it will come out on dvd. The show was amazing and I moved 1/2 way through the summer and i coudnt get TNT at my new place I WAS SO PISSED! So i missed over 1/2 the season... I want to know what happens. and i want to buy the DVDs obviously. Any info would be great!
shareThe first season WILL be released on DVD by 20th Century Fox. The box set will contain 4 discs, all 13 episodes of the season, and have a few (previously unaired) deleted scenes. Currently, the DVD release is scheduled to come out Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
The DVD release is designed to garner attention for the premiere of Saved season 2, which is slated to air on TNT in mid-June 2007 (minimal pre-production has already begun, and filming in Vancouver and Coquitlam B.C. will hopefully start in late February 2007.). Likewise, good ratings for Season 2 will probably translate to increased Season 1 DVD sales, as with "The Closer" season 2 this past summer. But I digress.
Of course, this is all subject to change--nothing is set in stone. As far as the DVD release, there have already been issues with music clearances, however it seems as if all that has been taken care of, at least for the time being. And even if there are more problems, alternate soundtracks were scored during initial production; they are ready to go if the need arises (a lesson well-learned after "The Wonder Years"). So, if things continue as they are, you should be able to pre-order the Season 1 DVD via Amazon.com around the last part of April/first part of May 2007.

shareI was hoping it would come out on DVD before Christmas!! Oh well, I have to wait for the 2nd season, I might as well sit back and wait for the DVD to come out too. At least it IS coming out!! YAY!!!

shareIt sucks that they didn't release a DVD, and probably won't now. I have all the episodes on my computer, but would love to own the series on a box set, with commentaries and maybe the first episode of season 2 since I guess it was made. I even tried looking on ebay for bootlegs, but I can't even find those.
