Emmy nomination?

The actress that plays Janet deserves an Emmy nomination for that last episode.

Wow! That is a lot of TV watching! There are so many things to do and READ as opposed to catching every show on TV. I guess someone must be getting paid to watch this much TV.

writer4928 why are you on a board for octobor road, if you don't like or watch the show?

I was just saying that is a lot of TV to watch and I am not rallying for Rebecca Field to be nom for an emmy. It is just a lil entertainment for me and yes I do support the show. I just do not get that involved in TV as a whole. Did not mean to insult anyone.

Why would someone spend valuable time on something they dislike. That is strange. Is there any motive?

Okay. Cool.

No without watching half of those shows, ever, I know that they are better actresses than the one that plays Janet. How do I know they are better - because they are not on OR - that in itself says they are more worthy of an Emmy.

So if an actor just happens to be cast in one of those bloated, over-budgeted and much-hyped fall releases with the phrase "Oscar pandering" written in red ink across every promo poster, he or she is automatically rendered more talented than an actor appearing in a film which sets out to be engaging first(to hell with awards)and foremost, no matter how piss-poor the former's performance may be?

Fascinating logic.

yep - and do you know the difference between oscar and emmy????

But of course; Oscar is the blissfully forgotten Sly Stallone vehicle(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102603/), made one can only presume as part of some cack-handed stab at duplicating the success of the previous yr.'s(1990) The Freshman. Emmy on the other hand, is the curves to die for, vivacious voice, and vapid personality debuted to audiences the world over in that equally god-awful Phantom of the Opera adaptation:

Way more logical than your incoherent babble

I could see how an annoying egg-head so gorged on high-falutin' literary pretensions that they practically drip from his eye sockets 24/7 might think as much, sure. Silly of me to expect a real conversation out of a dude so base-quality that he probably fancies himself worthy of a Lifetime Achievement Award each time he's able to survive in one sitting the back of a Coco-Coco Puffs Box.

And if you could decipher sarcasm you would have understood the underlying context in what I was saying in my last post.

And if you, senor, were anything other than bereft of substance you wouldn't at this point be deluding yourself into thinking you've provoked me, as I've really found banging this all out on the keyboard both therapeutic and exhilarating. If in the process some of the more gullible souls here at the boards have been encouraged to be a little more cagey before hailing any random gasbag as an authority(as happened not long ago: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756573/board/thread/100041572?d=100041572#100041572
then all the better:wide, glistening smile:

Don't thank me yet Meggs; two-bit snot will cease salivating over that mega-collage of Roseanne Barr pics stretched across the entirety of his one-room tenement soon enough, leading him back here to pound out even more nausea-inducing pseudo-banter.

Some folks really never quite get the imperativeness of revamping their act when it reveals itself to be complete&utter sh-t.

I disagree. She's an ok actress but certainly not deserving of an emmy nomination.
