Better choices for music

My kids like this show, but it makes me cringe. I don't like Annie's voice (but I agree that it's good to encourage kids to sing), I don't like the insipid lyrics put onto the classical themes -- it's the quality of the lyrics, not that they're putting lyrics on the music.

In my book, "The Backyardigans" (Nick Jr, Noggin) is much better. Better music, better lyrics, better stories, better singing, better dancing. Each episode has a different musical genre focus.

If you haven't tried it, give it a shot.

Unfortunately my kids prefer "Little Einsteins".

'Unfortunately my kids prefer Little Einsteins'
Well it's about what YOUR KIDS want right? 'Little Einsteins' is as geared towards your kids as 'The Backyardigans' is. What 'Little Einsteins' is trying to install in your kids is an appreciation and knowledge of music and art, as music is an essential learning tool. And what's wrong with classical music? It doesn't have any bad lyrics(which unfortunately I have to put up with) and it's good music to listen to when you're working on something and you don't want stress. Those two shows were primarily made for your kids, not you. If you don't like Little Einsteins but your kids do, do something else while the show is running and let your kids watch it, believe me they'll learn something that will help them later in life.(I don't have kids, but I DO work with little kids in my church, so I DO have experience) Oh yeah, and I HAVE watched 'The Backyardigans' and it IS a good show, but I just happened to like 'Little Einsteins' better, which by the way, if you don't like the show don't comment here, I've seen enough negative comments about 'Little Einsteins' and it's really irritating and unnecessary to read so if you like 'The Backyardigans' then that's fine, go to the 'The Backyardigans' message board then, but don't comment about it here, this is primarily a 'Little Einsteins' message board.

I lie...honestly

My husband and I really like our daughter to watch "Little Einsteins." We watch along with her and love to watch her reactions to the stories and actions. Its a great introduction to classical music and art. My only wish is that it varied a little more on the music. It would seem there are about five different pieces that are recycled for the episodes, and the same refrains from those pieces are the only ones used. I would like to see a little more variety in the music. But I LOVE the way the art is incorporated into the story!

Oh, they'll get some new pieces of music in there somewhere, in fact there's going to be a new episode of Little Einsteins on the 14th of August.

Annie is just a kid/toddler what do you think she would sing like a teenager?
She sings better with the Microphone then without which is my opinion.

I feel the first two albums by Devildriver would be a much better choice. Outstanding in every way, and they would keep the kids attention better too.
