Please read this before watching this movie

I just saw Art of the Devil 2 on Netflix. You can download it there, and watch right away!

The movie was one of the scariest films I've seen. It isn't just the gore, there is alot of great psychological terror too. It also delt with the tying-in their past actions to their present actions rather well. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes gore, and appreciates it as an art form. Since it is not easy to make realistic looking gore images. It also is hard to find a actor/actress who can convincingly act as if they're undergoing torture.

My only problem with this film, is there is a scene where a cat is eaten. I don't really want to say more, so nobody blames me for letting a spoiler. I can't read Korean, but the way they cut from the image of the cat to the cat being eaten, seems like that it was a fake scene. As in it being like, perhaps a taxidermied cat and alot of stuff you'd find at a butcher shop. Still, if you find animal cruelty disturbing, I suggest you at least skip the scene.

The rest of the movie is fantastic, it's just that one part I can't stand. Although, I understand it as being a part of the storyline. So it wasn't like, a meaningless scene. There is a point to it, that being the idea of turning against the ones you love, is the most horrific thing anyone could consider. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. I mean, I literally had to turn away from that scene.

If you decide to watch this film, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. To tell you the truth I'm pretty worn out from all the excitement of it. It's rare to find a film that really pulls you into it like Art of the Devil 2.

this isn't a korean film. it's thai.

how does 'eating' a stuffed cat constitute animal cruelty? it doesn't even look remotely realistic.

I thought your post was odd because you complained about animal cruelty in a HORROR flick. People killed, OK. Animals killed, unacceptable. Then I looked at your other posts. You complain when obese people are picked on and you want parent not to buy those films because it shows kids to not like fat people. You need to put your personal issues on hold when watching movies. I can make assumptions about your physique and popularity based on your posts. Oh and I am not a prince charming looking guy, but I don't get offended when the hero doesn't look like me. Or worse yet, get mad when Prince charming gets the hot chick, when I know I would be better for her. See, we all fantasize. But I don't get angry when most movies don't portray me, because I do not look like a Hollywood hunk.
I did have a similar moment to yours when I saw Shrek. I left the theater saying, "Now all those fat little girls will think they can get Prince Charming, too. What a disappointment Shrek is setting them up for." But I didn't go on a rant here or move to have the movie banned.
A pop culture movie will boast pop culture notions. A horror flick will be horrible, to people, animals and fat chicks. Hot guys will get the hot skinny chick and if they're lucky, the fat chick will get the disappointed nerd, unless it's a nerd movie, then he gets the hot chick and there are no fat chicks.
You need to accept yourself for who you are and stop trying to change society. You'll be happier and a happy chick can find a nice guy, prince or not. And isn't that what you're really looking for? Go out and enjoy yourself. Stop trying to have society change to fit your image.
Most of all stop listening to pop messiahs. Look at Oprah and Tyra because they constantly tell you it's OK to be a BIG GIRL. Yet they are quick to jump on that wonder diet when they get too big. And they are quick to have a whole show to tell you when they got down to that perfect size ??, whatever that perfect size is.

Sorry for the rant. I am just tired of people complaining about movies, when it's their life they are really complaining about. Just like I just did.

You got all that from one post warning potential viewers about an animal cruelty scene? Wow, JPMerola, you simply MUST tell me what university you received your PhD in psychology from! I certainly hope you don't let professional pride inhibit you from attending a few therapy sessions yourself!
