does anybody think this part was set-up?

did anybody else notice that the part when some woman yells out from the audience "i love you" and he says something like " i do too, but i have the need to see other people", was set-up?? i'm pretty sure of it. it was the same on an episode of seinfeld, the same thing happened..

As I'm sure most of the audience was filled with Seinfeld (the sitcom) fans, maybe the woman just said that in tribute of the scene you're talking about, and Jerry caught on and responded... Or maybe it was set up, who the hell cares ?

About 10 days ago (June 8 to be exact) I went to Vegas and saw Jerry's performance at the Caesar's Palace and when he came out some chick yelled "I love you Jerry" and then he replied "I love you too, but I do need to see other audiences". So my guess is that this happens to him pretty often and he always replies the same (sort of).

On the show(tv show) he might of been parodying how often this happens to him?

He's still performing?

All comedians have stock lines that they throw out for certain situations. Considering Jerry's popularity, I bet he gets "I love you!" from the audience at least once a show. The line works, so he uses it every time. I'm sure if someone had shouted something else, his retort would have been equally abrupt and hilarious.
