Saturday Night Live - The Best of Chris Farley (dvd came out in 2000)
they have different covers. the first has farleys face on it, smiling. the second one has THE BEST OF CHRIS FARLEY, and farley as the dancing chippendale guy on it. are these the same dvds? or are they different ones with different skits?? i dont get it, someone help me out here...
I've never seen the 2000 DVD, but I have the 2003 DVD. At the end credits it says it was copyrighted in 1998, so I'm sure they're probably the same.

No, they are definitely NOT the same. The 1998 version contains pretty much the same sketches as the 2003 version, but it does not have any of the special features. The special features include deleted scenes, outtakes, Chris' appearances on the David Letterman and Jay Leno shows and a Chris Farley retrospective. It's work the investment. Definitely DO NOT get the 1998 version.

The 2003 one has some nice extras, but cut out some great skits (the Herlihy Boy Housesitting Service, Schmitt's Gay Beer). Lame cuts, IMO.
