Is it supposed that Paz's carachter is a mexican? Oh my god. It's unbelievable. Her accent is absolutely spanish, from Andalusia. It doesn't sound mexican at all. Soooo bad english Paz. And I know what I'm saying. I'm form Spain.
But she looks hot.

Se supone que el personaje de Paz es mexicana? Es totalmente increíble. Su acento es totalmente español, andaluz. No suena para nada mexicano. Muy mal el inglés Pacita... Y sé lo que digo, soy español.
Pero está buena...

Well, I just saw the movie, and Scarlet DOES say she comes from Spain. The accent fits, then.

Paz does actually say she is from spain.

Who said anything about her being Mexican? She says she's from Spain!

She is SO from Spain that in the singing in the car scene, she says "Ea!" (a common spanish expresion to say "very good"), which i found really funny, because it looks like that wasnt on the script and Paz said it accidentally.

If all are you are going to clutter this discussion with facts, then there wouldn't be any need to talk about what area of Mexico she might have been from. :-)

Paz Vega is a sexy,gorgeous and extremely talented actress.
But she should improve her ability to speak English by either minimizing and completely removing her accent.
She is an actress.
She can do it.
Or at least make an effort to do it just like other non-American actors/actresses.
Her strong accent undermines her talent as an actress especially when delivering her lines in English.
Just the fact that critics consider that Paz delivers her lines phonetically is a testament to that.
I think that is what is preventing her from becoming a well-known actress in Hollywood and if she wants to fulfill her dreams of being cast in roles other than that of a Latina woman.
