A few quick questions (potential spoiler).

In this film there is a woman who claims that one can reverse the aging process if one is able to tap the DNA with their mind. My question is why, if this is true and this woman believes it, does she look like she has had plastic surgery? How has this film become so popular, when it is obvious to any rational person that all their 'scientific' evidence could be disproved? Are there really that many idiots out there? If so, then humanity is doomed.

I'm right, you're wrong, deal with it or kill yourself.

The whole "reverse aging with qualtum mechanics" is a pretty old con. Deepak Chopra did it quite a few years ago and, judging by photographs, he's aging right along with the rest of us. The truth is that it doesn't work and never will.

There are two reasons, that I can see. The first is that quantum mechanics is a very hard, very complicated science that's not well understood, even by experts. The average person isn't well versed in quantum mechanics and don't know how to differentiate fact from fiction. Instead, they take educated people at their word, which is what the directors were banking on.

Also, people want to believe. Let's face it: the world isn't in the greatest shape right now. We've been at war for most of this decade, the economy is falling apart, unemployment is insane and people need to believe that they can take control of their life. This movie hands them the alleged power to do so on a silver plater. Even though it can easily be disproved, many people who choose to believe it don't want it to be disproved, because it would smother their hopes of a better life and a happier reality.

I think that a small portion of those who buy into this movie are idiots, but many are not. People may do stupid things when they're desperate, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they're stupid people. Really, many of those who will fall for this are desperate, lost or afraid and this system gives them some hope.
