An underrated work of art

seriously. Anthony Hopkins is already a terrific actor, but here he proves he can also be an artist behind the camera. I thought this was quite brilliant. To me it's ahead of it's time, which is probably why most didn't understand it. I'll admit some parts, I didn't fully understand myself, but I got the idea of what was happening and it's interesting.

People around say it has no storyline. It's not supposed to. It's supposed to be about dreams and it is. Very surreal and dreamlike, but in a very good way.

I also don't understand why this is seen as being pretenious and came off as a student film. I actually take that offenisivly, since I'm a film student myself and like to be artistic, so why can't films like this be artistic anymore? I don't understand. Film is an art form. It doesn't matter if you're a student or pro filmmaker, film is an art form and filmmakers should be allowed to make works of like this.
