Why the fuss about this being an adaptation of "Dances With Wolves"?

It's a great tale, no wonder several movies have told variations on it!

James Cameron was wise to do this, it'd be stupid to invest so much time and money in such advanced visual tech only to tell an unfamiliar story that might not land well with people!

Besides, people LIKE Dances With Wolves, Ferngully, and my personal favourite take on the tale, The Last Samurai (which is partially true, BTW).

I completely agree! Not only are those great tales but they educate too! The world *coughs* humans *cough* can be so cruel and I think it's very important to keep reiterating the vital balance in nature and perspectives of said nature. We all need to understand we can't just f*ck around and take what we want.
Since this film came out there has been evidence found that there are indeed connections between trees, and between trees and wildlife, etc. I read an article where scientists recorded brain patterns when subjects were standing on the grass with shoes and then barefoot. I can't remember the technical terms but basically the area of the brain that activates when we're stress-free and calm always lit up when the people touched the grass with their feet (there were other parts of the brain that lit up but I can't remember which now), even in those who didn't even care for nature!

But above all, we need to keep teaching every new generation to help, be kind, and respect nature and everything to do with it. After all, we are part of it too! And there is absolutely plenty of resources to go round as long as there's no greed.

Humans suck......I hate humans.
