Wonder why it's advertisted as if it were a remake

Many old movies play again in the theaters (usually Sat. family favs) but the way they're rereleasing this movie is as if it were a remake or something seems jarring. They advertise it like a new movie if you get my meaning with an updated poster. Maybe they should do that with all the high grossing movies every 5-10 years to get easy millions.
