Excellent. Superman the Animated series is a very underrated version of the characer and deserves to be mentioned along with Reeves, Reeve, and Routh versions.

reply

It mentions all the animated incarnations from Fleisher to the present.

Excellent review. Good job on showing the show's shortcomings. Of course, as you stated, the pupose of the show is to hype "Returns," so major blemishes of Superman's history would be glossed over. This was, essentially, a commercial for "Returns."

No, the 1966 animated series ("The New Adventures of Superman") by Filmation WAS mentioned. There also was a scene from the series at the very beginning of the documentary.

reply

No, he's talking about the series that was on CBS in the late '80s and used Williams' march as the main theme. It likely wasn't included due to ownership issues, as I don't know if WB actually owns that series or not.

I'm so good I don't need a signature.
