Movie definitely hits the mark on gas prices

Without a doubt, the movie nails why gas prices are so high.

Here's a You Tube clip of the film:

I understand it's coming out on DVD in January?

Isn't Shell or Mobile going to protest? :)

reply

I agree, Michelle!

Mobile made a $61 billion profit last quarter

Microsoft made $16 billion profit.

And gas prices are the result of....?

reply

Gas prices are the result of a CARTEL that uses price-fixing. Normally a cartel would be illegal under U.S. and EU laws, but the cartel exists in Arabia where we cannot touch it.

As for the electric car the reason it was built & sold by various companies, but ultimately failed, is because very few people want to be constrained to only driving ~100 miles away from home. They want to go to Las Vegas or the beach or the next city, and an electric car simply does not allow that. Only a gasoline car allows it.

ElectricToy,

I totally agree with you!

I think when gas prices were so low, no one in their right mind wanted to trade in their car for an experimental version.

That's the one thing the movie doesn't discuss.

I would say there is a cartel among the big oil companies though: $1.92 to $1.91? C'mon, that's almost a monopoly, right?

Considering that gas prices were $2.69 two years ago, I'd say the film hits the mark!

reply

Gas prices are now under $3.00, but it did predict it skyrocketing to almost $5.00.

Loved the predictions about gas though.

it hit the mark on a lot of things, especially those arguments in favor of God.

if you study this board and the comments carefully, a lot of people are pitching this movie 'man from earth'. who are these people? and why are they concerned about this movie?

strange, weird people abound.

reply

Why this film never got the accolades only God knows.

This predicted so many things that are happening and it was made in 2006 - 2 years before the recession!
