Man awake every night but not tired...?

My IQ is only around 138 (not considered genius level), but I immediately solved that riddle which would have ended the predicament (and, presumably, the film). I immediately said to my TV, "He sleeps during the day. Duh!"

Some geniuses they are. LOL

The film's dialogue/discussions were interesting to *some* degree (worth watching, IMO, at least until they started talking about God in the simplistic manner expected from the unimpressive philosophical level of a literalistic religious believer), but it definitely falls short of its title's meaning/promise.
