Am I the only one who wished she had blown people up?

Seriously...I was hoping it would work...just so the movie wouldn't have been so tame and pointless and completely derivative of 'Elephant' by exploiting modern stigmas... ...but in reality, the filmmaker probably couldn't have afforded the effects for an explosion. That bothered me about it, that the script was probably conceived with that in mind.
