When the ordinary becomes permanently funny

I was reading the threads for the Joan Crawford film Mildred Pierce (1945), and one of them was titled "Now you know" (because various characters spoke this line), but I immediately thought of Mitchell and Webb's "Now we know." This is what British comedy does to a person. Ordinary phrases will now be funny for the rest of my life. (There are many of these from Monty Python as well.)
