i cant ruthie

ireally dont like ruthie in the show ..i dont see the point of her being theere .what happened to the other judge

I love... I love... I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on"

reply

The sent the other judge back to Russia because her English was appalling. I have no problem with Ruthie, her and Jason are there to score the performance rather than the skating. I just wish they would remind the monkey'sin the audience of that.

Dear Buddha, please send me a pony and a plastic rocket.

Totally agree, Natalia and Andrei would win a skate off against Torvill and Dean any day. And of course, English isn't her first language, and she actually had some good stuff to say, it just took her some time to find the words.

reply

If they could win Torvill & Dean. Why did Torvill & Dean beat them to gold on many occations back in the eighties.

reply

Torvill and Dean were the absolute best in the sport when they were competing. They could still whip most competitors now!

reply

Jason is a judge and he is not a skater either. He and Ruthie are there to judge the performance!

I notice the studio audience are starting to react to her.
When they were announced at the start of the show, there were audible boos for her.

I understand that she's judging performance. But she's so fatuous about it.
She states the breathtakingly obvious - "You've got to control your nerves" etc.
She's just repeating what the coaching staff are telling them everyday. It's hardly constructive.

And what was she about voting to save Todd tonight, for his "performance".
For a start he's an actor. But what I saw wasn't acting - he was hamming it up, big time.
She had scored Ellery's performance higher than Todd's in the first instance and as neither of them improved on their earlier performance, she should have voted to save Ellery.

Seriously. I don't see the point of her on the panel at all.
I think if they must have a 5th judge, why not a previous contestant?
That would bring a different perspective to the judging panel and would be someone who could empathise with the contestants.

Are you sure those boos weren't people still booing Jason?

Nope.
All the boos stopped when they announced Robin.

I really like Emma. I loved her in the Spice Girls and I still think she's great. And in her defense, I find she actually gives constructive criticism. She may not be a skater but she knows a lot about performance/dancing while she's been with the Spice Girls and she knows how to tell people she didn't like their routine without being nasty about it. She's a great judge.
