Ripped off from the F.I.S.T.

My dear Fellas!!

This movie is pretty much a rip off of the 1978 movie of Sylvester Stallone name F.I.S.T.
Infact, even the scenes (may of em, including the climax court scene) are almost ditto as of the original one.
The story line is the same aswell!

and yeah i do agree that the movie guru was supposed to be based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani but maybe Mani Ratnam took the concept and then planned as per his will and the history!

Peace!

How does a union guy who works his way into power the same as an entrepreneur who builds a company? Just because they are both stories of men who became powerful?
Should we claim that Hoffa is a rip-off from F.I.S.T. too? And aren't all these movies ripped off from "All the King's Men"? At least Hoffa's about a union leader. Last time I checked, "management" and "workers" were not the same. Was there a crippled woman whom Stallone befriended? Did the shares in Stallone's company fall when the newspapers smeared him? Was Guru accused of ties to the mafia, or for other tax and import infractions, and bribes? Did Kovak (Stallone) have a stroke? Did Kovak have a father-figure he went to war with? Did Kovak and Guru end up the same way?

Exactly how is Guru "ripped off" from F.I.S.T.?
