The movie's official theatrical release started on 24th of August so the DVD should normally be available 6 months after that (=February / March). However, since this is anything but a big-budgeted mainstream flick chances are there will be a delay...

Also keep in mind that sadly most German DVD labels (especially the one that owns the rights for "Der freie Wille") rarely put English subtitles on their discs.

I'll let you know if I find out more.

The German DVD will be available to buy on the 11th of May. However, it sadly won't have English subs.

Seems like I've been misinformed. This announcement claims that the German Special Edition of "Der freie Wille" will come with English subs.

the dvd is on retail here in austria since about 3 weeks. should be availible soon if not already here.
try amazon.de they have it:

the german dvd is availlible now at amazon.de and it has english subs.

got it from dussmann in Berlin, a BIG shop for DVD's and books. and it's with english subs.

An American DVD label called Benten Films has just announced that they will be releasing a deluxe version in June or July.
