Baffled

I was waiting, for what seemed a lifetime, for the doc. to stream on Netflix. I loved viewing it because I am a huge Match Game fan. I still watch it daily on GSN. The banter between CNR and Brett was priceless. The reason I felt baffled about this doc. is because Charles hardly mentioned MG. I was looking forward to him lamenting of he and Brett going back and forth and telling tales of their friendship away from the show.

I'm not complaining because I loved hearing his stories. I live close to Hartford, CT so it was fun hearing of his days here. I feel lucky that Match Game is reruns and I get to experience his comedic genius daily, love it - love it - love it! My only complaint about The Life of Reilly is the sound wasn't very clear at times. Other than that, this is a must see.

i wondered about that but everything he said was a gem so it didn't really matter...i heard it's 3 hours in its entirety, so if the dvd ever comes out (??!!) we'll see more.

I was also a Match Game fan growing up. But I also saw him in other stuff, I'm assuming during the time Charles Nelson Reilly could find himself listed over 50 times in one week's TV Guide.

I got the impression he was more proud of his work in theatre and on/off Broadway than his TV work. Probably because of his mother always saying "save it for the stage" and the fact that's where he got his first singing and acting breaks. Although he definitely didn't complain about the game shows either.

Mr. Reilly left an impressive body of work. His time on earth was certainly productive and entertaining. Can't beat that.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
