One quick Charles Nelson Reilly story. Years ago, Lucille Ball was a guest on a game show he was on. A big deal had been made of her appearance on this show- they'd been running teaser ads about it all week.
Apparently, she'd had no prep because she seemed confused and unsure what to do next. Veteran of game shows that he was, I remember him helping the lady get through her motions. He wasn't being a show-off or a know-it-all, he was just helping a fellow performer and it didn't matter that her star power far outshone his own. We lost a great gentleman when he died.
