Is it worth it to rent?

I remember watching Night Passage on broadcast tv (where they edit out serious violence or love-making). I watched this movie when it first came out and only remember generally disliking it; Stephen Balwdin's character, I think, is mainly why but I don't remember specifics except I don't like Baldwin as an actor and I seem to remember his character being particularly upsetting because he beat his wife(?) It's like I blocked the whole movie it out of my mind. How much was Baldwin in the show? And I don't like "serious sex scenes" which would not be clipped with Netflix. I really like the other Jesse Stone movies and "Night Passage" has come up on my Netflix list. I am really tempted to watch but I only get two movies a month on my plan...

Stephen Baldwin was in it quite a lot. There are no real violent scenes or any sex scenes. I certainly wouldn't regard this as a violent film. Yes, Baldwin's character is a wife-beater, but there are no scenes of him actually beating his wife. At least not in the copy I rented from the video store.

I'm not really sure what Netfix is.

When I said I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!

Yes - if you're still wondering two years later about putting it on your list - go ahead! :) I just bought it!

I enjoyed this very much.

In fact, I've enjoyed every Jesse Stone to be honest.

Me too. I loved all of them. Tom Selleck is great in this one so he's worth watching it. I don't like Baldwin either but ehh TS rocked

The only performance that Baldwin can be proud of is in THE USUAL SUSPECTS, after that, well...
If you like Tom Selleck, it's definitely worth seeing.
If your a huge Robert B. Parker fan, like me, you need to check it out.

Readiness is all.
