Why does Ben say 'gotcha'?

When Eve answers the phone, Ben says "gotcha!" Is it somehow incriminating for her to answer the phone?? Or did he already know what was going on and just wanted to alert her that the game was up so she'd have time to bust out the cleaver and syringe?

Okay because.....

Earlier Ben visited the house, and the husband answered the door and said that the children weren't home, and that they were with the wife at some exhibit.

Well, Ben felt there was something wrong with that story.
So he called the house a little bit later,
and SHE, (the wife) answered,
proving that they're not at some "exhibit",
and that they're in the house hiding something..

You get it now?
