She could have gotten she and her brother out easy

It would have been so simple to get out of that house. All she needed to do was tell the caseworker that the husband was molesting her. That would have automatically opened an investigation and they would have been removed from the house.

It was basically the same deal as with Panic Room with Jodie Foster talking to the cops at the front door. If she had talked, the movie would've been over.
