i believe it was summertime so there was no school. i missed the first 10 minutes so i wondered the same thing but at the end when ben comes to take them to 6 flags and is getting a tour of the house, he asks how abby was and the father (cant think of his name) says "...you can call her our summer project..."

well, i wonder what they would of done during school time. Unless thats why they were adopted at that time. Because the mother knew that the kids wouldnt last that long. Then again, she never really did poison the girl like she did the boy.

Yes, and they really only took in boys. They took the girl that final time. Also, when hubby was knocked out, she looked at him and mumbled 'worthless', so I'm going to assume she hated men, that's why they took in boys.

I think it meant that he was worthless sense he couldn't even stop a teenage girl. Not that she hated men.
sharethe original plan was likely to send Abby to school once the summer holidays ended but to keep Ethan home sick. of course Abby becoming suspicious and uncooperative spoiled that plan pretty badly
