Er....

Where's all the info on this show? It's turning out to be a really good adaptation of (in my opinion) one of Terry Pratchett's best and funniest kids books - can't believe there's almost nothing on the site about it. Anyone else feel the same way?

reply

I totally agree. We need some proper information about the actors etc. I was hoping to find out if the chap who plays the doctor is the same chap who was in a program called 'Attachments' - because if he was then he is putting on a cracking posh voice. I watched this last night and was gutted when it finished - I cant wait for next week!

reply

I know! Is next week the last week, do you know? I really wanted to find out about the kids - the guy who plays Johnny looks really familiar, and I can't figure out if I've seen him in something else or if he just reminds me of a bit Rupert Grint (Ron from Harry Potter). And I'm sure I've seen Sir Walter before as well! Isn't Zoe Wanamaker great as Mrs. Tachyon though?

Actually, just found this website:
http://www.johnnyandthebomb.tv/
It's got a cast list and a little bit of info. Appearantly the Doctor is played by William Beck, and he WAS in Attachments. He was also in Snatch, appearantly. Hope that's some use to you. Oh, and Johnny was Curly in the latest Peter Pan movie, that's where I knew him from.

I originally added this title to IMDB as it wasnt listed even after it had aired, i did fill out the full credits including writer (Terry Pratchett) and screenplay, plus some additional info, my guess is that it just needs to be verified first

this was my source of information:

Oh, thanks LostSurvivor. You're a good person, and the many gods of the Disc love you! I don't know how to add things to IMDB - do you need IMDB PRO memebership for that?

Any registered user can add info, including you. Just press the Update button on any page. It can be a bit daunting at first; there's quite a lot of info to take in on the submission guides.

Do take care to read the relevant stuff first; any errors, or style sloppiness will count against your record - they'll ignore anyone who's consistently unreliable.

Oh, and you'll need the patience of a saint. Most updates take up to a month to be processed; others much longer.

yer i have updated loads of times. i updated the cast because when i came on here when it first came on tv there was no cast so i looked it up on bbc and then added it here, it takes about 7 to 10 days to update but it looks like its all done now.

i submitted loads of info like a week before it was on (i was bored). such a slow process...

Nice work - I submitted it too just after the first episode aired. There were a couple of clashes between our simultaneous additions (their fault), which I've tidied. I've now done a complete cast+crew submission from video recordings, so it should all show up eventually.

Note that the cast list is in order of appearance. Unfortunately, that means we can't show the top billing from the title sequence or that BBC cast list; that's just IMDb's rules :(

I think there are a couple of errors in the cast list. It's not the right Scott Kay (or else the existing Scott Kay needs to be split), and was it really David Walliams from Little Britain playing an Old Man? I doubt it. I've corrected it to an unidentified David Williams.
