Wonderful movie, IMO.

This movie was wonderful. It started out as a horror movie, and then turned into some adventure/fantasy/drama/melodrama-movie. Which at the beginning felt a bit disappointing, considering I was expecting something else.
It's surely one of its kind. The thing I dislike the most about it was how it's trying to tell us that we shouldn't forget those who are dead, not do abortions, among more things. It just feels stupid. And the unnecessary flashbacks towards the end that doesn't belong to a movie the length of this was quite annoying, too.

Anyway, I love some of the beautiful camera work here. Look at the scene where she walks out of the bathroom, looks around, and then walk down towards the kitchen. The camera work there is razor-sharp, and gives a great atmosphere. Too bad they didn't do more camera work of that caliber. Although I do realize it wouldn't fit everywhere.

Oh, and I am still confused over what exactly was going on. It sure left us required to make our own interpretations.

Personal thoughts about the movie?

Charlie's never right. He's functionally retarded.

Whats to wonder about? She herself was an abandoned idea.

The original Author said she put a lot of herself into her characters before. However this time she felt the character was too close so she abandoned the story. Thus the abandoned character has the feelings, memories and emotions of the novelist. The switch happens about 1/4 way through the movie just before she enters re-cycle. Pay attention to clothing.
