So very funny!
This movie made me laugh. And laugh. And laugh.
At first, I thought it was quite tragic. I expected some sort of black comedy in which the main character tries to do himself in because of his change in circumstances. One particularly pathetic scene in a cheap hotel made me think, 'No wonder a person can think that all hope is lost...'
Then the plot developed and it was just very funny and very light. Lovely. I enjoyed everything, including the surprise twist when the son visits the father in a crucial scene.
His wife's name is Ines, not Clothilde! Apparently, she has Spanish heritage, which explains why sometimes they both lapse into a bit of Spanish.
Why would I have ever even known about this? It's my first Didier Bourdon movie. I saw it free on Amazon Instant Video because it's free to Prime members.
