One can only hope... not

Yes...and no. I just saw this film in Los Angeles. I think it may have a chance...although a long shot. It seems that the Academy is sporadic. Think: they nominated Aki Kaurismaki's "Man Without a Past." I have no idea how that happened, as, I think the Academy looks to nominate foreign language films that look and feel like Hollywood movies. So, it's hard to say. In my opinion "Climates" is an excellent movie and even "accessible." What do you think?

As a real masterpiece, even the Academy could have understood how amazing the film is, but Turkey has not submitted this film as their possible nominee.

I hope not, that would be an insult on this beautiful film. The oscars are "best film for idiots" awards, at best.
