2 details l that seemed like a plothole to me

Granted I don't know the procedure for plastic surgery in South Korea, but it just seemed weird to me how quickly Seh Hee was operated on. The first time around the doctor just half-heartedly tries to warn her by showing her a video of a surgery. It's hard to tell when exactly she got the surgery, if it was the same day, but it couldn't have been more than a few days after first visiting him, tops. Considering she asked to go through an irreversible procedure that would make her completely unrecognizable, that seemed kinda rash.
The SECOND time around, you can tell he performs the surgery on her the VERY SAME DAY, when they take the "before"-pictures her face is still dirty and sweaty and her hair a mess just like she was when she walked into his office again right after the car accident.
That seems weird to me, and you'd think there'd be laws against performing extensive appearance altering plastic surgery on someone that fast, without any psychological evaluation, and when they are obviously still in a state of crisis. Sure the doctor was obviously a scumbag just out to make money, but still, there must be laws he has to abide by?

I know it's just a small detail, but it seemed weird and unecessary to me.

The second thing that I thought was strange was why could Ji-woo not recognize Seh Hee's voice? Or did she also alter her voice box somehow?

I think you are looking at the film from the wrong angle. The surgery is not meant to be looked at as a process of plot. It is merely a tool used by the director to show the role of identity and how we, as human beings, are constantly(for better or worse)looking to evolve and change. The fact that she has surgery on the same day is irrelevant.

YES! I'm a medical student and the entire time I was going tut tut at the doctor. He was breaking pretty much every ethical codes and it was so annoying to watch! urghhh

Regarding your second question, I think I saw a short clip of a vocal cord surgery at the beginning of the movie (when there are all those yucky surgery clips), which could be used to change the pitch of a voice-so I guess she could have gotten that as well? Besides, the two had similarly high pitched voices and if sehee had changed the way she spoke and her tone a little bit, Jiwoo probably wouldn't recognise her 'voice' straight away?
