Physical impossibility

Let me start by saying that I haven't seen the movie yet - I just ran across a link to it & learned about it today - so if this post isn't correct, then it's due to ignorance of the material, not plain stupidity.

I read the wikipedia entry on this film and it says that while trying to avoid escalating his partner count, he gets hurt while bike riding, and is helped by a bunch of catholic school girls, who want him to take their virginity. It further states that his count jumps from 82 to 100 in one afternoon!

If that's really how the movie shows this, I call bullsh*t! There is no way any living man could have sex to completion with 18 women in only 5-6 hours time! It's physically impossible!

Back when I was 18-19 and a total horn dog, the best I ever popped for was 7 times in a 12 hour period. Even if the main character has super recovery time & stamina, there's no way he could more than double that in a period 50% shorter, especially with him looking to be around 30 years old.

My assumption is that maybe he only did each one for a minute or two, and only 'finished' with 2-4 of them.

What do you think? Am I right? Or did they portray it differently than wikipedia says?

(Yes, I understand movies used 'creative license', but they ought to try & keep it at least slightly believable!)

Okay, so if an activity is only sex in your idiosyncratic definition if it's "to completion", why are you expecting that anyone else is using the term that way?

First, you're complaining about the impossibility of a man having sex with 18 women in one afternoon in a movie about that same man who gets a list from a magical "Machine" (read: God) that informs him of every woman he will have sex with until he dies. Think about that for a second.

Second, he was nearly unconscious, definitely had a concussion (if he was laid out until the next day...that's a concussion), and admitted himself that his memory of the whole thing was bleary. I always assumed, because like you, I don't believe that he could have done that in one afternoon, that the girls simply used him to rid themselves of their maidenheads (virginity). The list, according to the movie, doesn't really give a damn about satisfaction (obviously...grandma anyone?) it just cares about the sex.

hey TIPtonr, putting in just the TIP is considered intercourse....plus, if given the opportunity, I'd try my best to pop 18 cherry's in 6 hours...3 girls every hour for 6 hours, they make pills to help for those kinda numbers.

Yeah, if you had a threesome but only came once (or twice in the hottest one) wouldn't you still say you had sex with 2 women? A "reverse gangbang" is a thing--or in this case reverse gang rape

I myself don't know much about sex OR reality so I wouldn't even be able to answer how possible or impossible it is.

But since this movie is labelled as a comedy, doesn't it mean that to an extent at least, we are certainly NOT supposed to take it seriously AND that we should allow a lot of suspension of disbelief here?

By the way, I have mixed in a lot of discussions about "you know what" in MOVIES but where a man is a victim and at the hands of a woman to boot, and I can't help but question the following - IF we lived in a generally more civilized world where good and evil, including with regards to SEXUAL matters as opposed to murder and/or violent assault, had less controversies around it and we were HAPPY with offending punishers, considering how many, er, FILMS were made where somehow the MALE offenders as such were punished in acts of revenge killings, what can and should be done to female offenders as such if they somehow evaded punishments by law?

I know it is a VERY disturbing thing to ask about but, hey, I couldn't help it with all the millions of discussions going on about it online and yet paradoxically, I heard ENOUGH men say stuff like how they would even ENJOY it if a woman did it to them against their will or at the very least, much like the male character in an Australian drama "Envy" ("The New Girlfriend") by Julie Money, feel like they WOULD forgive her and would NOT want the woman to even go to jail for it much less suffer the possibility of a revenge attack including getting killed in the process.

I'm not saying I agree OR disagree. Just being curious.

The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!
