Did the director watch Narc 100 times before making this film.

Dear Norwegians,

This film was great! I saw it at the Philadelphia film festival today. It seems that the director copied the style of Narc (one of my favorite movies) down to the blue cinematography and hand held style. Did the director mention Joe Carnahan as an influence?

BTW: I don't understand something about the film. Why would the main character only get 5 years after confessing to killing a person he sold drugs for?

In Norway you can get a max sentence of 21 years for murder, but you usually get out after half of that.

I cant remember how the movie was, but if you cooperate and or supply information they often shave of a few years as well.

So five years is not unusual.

Actually the line is: you will get at least 5 years. So we don't know. On the other hand, he gets 5 years in a self-defence case, so I would think that's normal in Norway and even a little harsh.

In the dubbed (synchronized) german translation of the dvd the cop says " at least 8 years!"

Totally weird picture from.norway, i guess the inspiration was american tv and movies, since in real..life norwegian streets are empty as soon as it gets dark.
Full of clich?es and stuff , but the main character is portrayed very interesting. He does whats "right" , unlike most people today continue "whatever works" pragmatism. He knows thats the only form.of true existence, he is responsible and acts this way.

I would give it 7/10

Btw the guys wears a white t-shirt with the german word for police on it"polizei" as an undercover cop????

Was this tshirt popular in norway or just a weird stylist/director desicion?
