Women

This film reinforced two of my beliefs about women.

1. "All women are crazy. It is just a matter of degrees." Not one woman in this film was satisfied with what she had or knew what she wanted.

2. When it comes to sex, I don't trust anyone - woman or man. I don't even trust myself. Under the right circumstances with the right person, 99% of the women and men will be unfaithful. A friend of mine and his two brothers recently had their DNA tested. One brother had a different father although they were supposed to have the same father.

Woah! That's a big leap to draw this conclusion based on a work of fiction. This is a movie, it's not real.

Sure, some people will cheat, both men and women but not everyone cheats.

I saw this movie for the first time a few days ago, I thought it was okay. I was expecting it to be a little better for a Woody Allen movie. I've also seen Wonder Wheel, Blue Jasmine and A Rainy Day In New York quite recently as well. I would say I liked all three of these more than VCB.

I'll give VCB a 6.0 out of 10. It has some pretty good performances by the leads but that's pretty much where the movie ends. I think it falls short in convincing personalities. So many of Allen's films hit home and literally remind you of people you know, but this time it fell short for me. Decent film though.
