Is there anything interesting to say about Bohemians?

It is a small clique of humanity who can live in such a bubble and the lack of urgency in their lifestyle doesnt make up the best narrative in my opinion. Thi good life must be good living but as storytelling it feels mediocre. We want to see more conflict, more struggle in the life of our protagonists, we want to see something real that most of us live or something even worse but the good life doesnt make up a good story. At best it is trivial humoristic little journey with little to say about anything.

Life can be good to some, but only conflict tests our characters and only in pain and struggle do we truly connect with our protagonists.

Cassandra's dream for instance who in life were characters that would be seen as less interesting and more avarage than Bardem's character in Vicky Christina Barcelona had a more human story to tell, not only something that we can connect to but something that makes us feel and empathize with our protagonists.

Hope Woody goes back to what he was doing for a while with Match Point and Cassandra, the lighthearthed bohemian fling is just not very intriguing.

Nonsense. Some of the best stories are about successful people.

Yeah, I also don't share your ennui with this movie. There were interpersonal struggles and emotional struggles, questions were raised but not answered, so we were left to ponder what we would do in those shoes. And there were beautiful images to soak in at the same time, stepping through a space and perhaps time barrier and basking in the loveliness of that corner of the world. That was enough for me to enjoy the film.
