Screw these people with with a big freakin lawsuit

I saw the trailer for this movie, I saw:
-the "rage" virus
-red eyes
-infected people running fast

this movie is a cheap rip-off of 28 Days Later. If not, how so, because those 3 things alone are enough for a lawsuit. Just because the 28 Days script was inspired by older horror movies, doesn't give this movie the right to copy it so closely. 28 Days was very different from older "zombie" movies it used. In no way, was it a rip-off. It was the first "zombie" film where the infected ran fast. That, the red eyes, and Rage Virus, are all trademarks of the 28 series. This movie uses them all. In every way, this movie is a rip-off. I love the 28 series, and this actually makes me really mad, lol. I guess I don't have the right to judge, because i haven't seen it, but when I saw the trailer for this movie, I literally thought it was 28 Months Later, or something. If Its going to steal like this, It better be damn good (It doesn't even have a right to anyway). If not, I hope Fox Searchlight calls copyright infringement, and sues them ALL.

Apart from the "rage" virus, this movie and 28 DAYS LATER couldn't be more different. They have nothing in common in terms of plot and (especially) tone -- absolutely nothing.

You can make a Dracula or mummy movie without being sued by Universal... How come? Under your logic, Universal should be able to sue because it was the studio that first produced DRACULA (1931) and THE MUMMY (1932).

Yet they cannot.

The Rage isn't anything like 28 Days Later. It's closer to a Dr. Moreau ripoff. And by the way, 28 days later doesn't have zombies. They're not undead, simply infected. Even if they were zombies it would be far from the first movie with running zombies. As for red eyes how could you call that a 28 DL trademark? That's like calling pirates a Pirates of the Caribbean trademark. As for the "Rage virus" that's the one thing they could remotely sue for. And even that would only be for the name.

You're an uneducated moron. George Romero's 1973 film, The Crazies, is the first Rage virus movie (that I'm aware of). There are literally thousands of B-movie zombie films, a close relative to rage films. Why do you have such a big problem with a B-movie rage films that borrows the basic concepts of the genra and takes it in their own direction? This isn't the best film in the world, but it is good B-movie fun.
