I bought this after reading the rave reviews on the DVD case, and after watching this movie I'm left with just one impression - WTF?
I've seen many, many low budget horror movies over the years and enjoyed them immensely, but THE RAGE is utter crap.
Seriously.
I suppose those of us who love a gory good time are supposed to drop to our knees and thank the people responsible for this sad little flick because we apparently only require lots of cheesy blood and little else.
I don't expect Oscar-calibre performances, but an attempt to act somewhat realistically would be nice. This wasn't even close.
The dialogue was like something a 12 year-old might write.
The few real actors in the movie were completely wasted.
I'm just baffled that so many normally reliable sources for horror movie feedback are touting this thing as an instant classic and something for horror fans to cheer about...
We deserve better than this.

I agree somewhat but it did have a few good qualities. I could have edited this movie into an entertaining short. Very little dialogue and nothing but humorous gore. Obviously no substance but what they tried to use as substance was some of the worst filler I've seen in sometime (Children of the Living Dead) That's kind of how I watched it, skipping very large portions.

It's unfortunate that the horror movie genre is license for all movie hacks to do their work. Why couldn't they move over to chick flicks or something and let us horror fans have some of the talent.
