After he gets up after Simon hits him, he just walks away and nothing is said of him again. WTF??

During the credits it shows him in the same prison incarcerated laying on his bunk smoking a cigarette when the dead burnt wardens hand grabs him by the face and pulls him offscreen as Simon is shown mopping and the glow from a fire comes from sizemores cell. Simon only smiles then the screen goes black and goes back to the credits.
