Hashem Shaalan - how did he die?

I was watching the extra features on the DVD (because I couldn't stomach any more of the movie) and the SEAL advisor used for the movie was a man named Hashem Shaalan - AKA "Hash." So I looked him up and apparently he died in March of 2006, but I can't find a cause of death.

This is a guy who spent his life being fit and well trained - does anyone know what happened to him?
