Crash didn't deserve it
It seems to me this year Oscars more than any other year celebrated movies that were poorly made but had a big message. Message is important, but how well a movie is made is important, too. If you base the a movie's quality on both its message and its content quality, you'd have to agree that 2005's best movie, Batman Begins, got snubbed hard. Crash was contrived, preachy, and nihilistic
"I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?"
"Dogs and cats living together . . . mass hysteria!"
