i really don't get the sex scene.

It doesn't make much sense that someone would let a stranger who has been following her into her apartment and have sex with him. She must be incredibly lonely and depressed after losing her child, but i kind of felt the sex scene was thrown in just so we can see heather gram naked ( which i am not complaining). Doesn't it just seem unrealistic? Or is there some special meaning?

It's not realistic. In fact, they didn't even say anything to each other. She just let him come in her apartment, neither of them saying a word, tried to have sex with him, he failed, then she told him her name AFTER the failed sexual attempt.

This is just one of many scenes in this movie that made me lump it into the huge pile of "indie" movies that try too hard to be intelligent, thereby revealing their lack thereof.

What an awesome body Heather has...WOW. If you remember in the photo store when Heather brought in the pictures and felt her privacy was violated, she looked at him and wanted to have sex with him right there. She loved being followed around, it turned her on, especially from the mysterious 20 year old Spanish virgin. Easily, he found her exotic and not skanky like those high school street girls who wanted sex with him. He also had thoughts about having sex with his mother and I hate to say it but vice versa. He was such a mute though without any personality. That's what I'm confused about. In 2009, women like men who don't speak??? hmmmmmm

The emotions in the subtext of the scene were complex.

The boy was obsessed with her.
She didn't perceive him a threat.
She had guilt over her child dying.
She missed her husband.

There is more to it than that... but you have to comprehend the depth of the scene and get past the naked bodies.

Movies are the exact opposite of real life.

In real life men dream something like that happens (see a pretty girl follow her and she just let you have sex with her with no talking at all!!)

In movies guys dont like to have sex with unknown sexy women because its not moral correct or something R-O-F-L.

FAIL MOVIE
